2017-18 Candidate Applications Available
Candidate applications for elected positions with SGA are now available in the Student Government Elections portal of Orgsync. Students do not need to be a member of the portal in order to complete the application. (Only the members of the University-Wide Election Commission are members of the portal.) There is one application for all elected positions on all six campuses.
Requirements for Eligibility (as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct).
A student seeking a student leader position must meet all requirements of the University Sponsored Student Organization. In addition, in order to be eligible and run for a student leader position, a student must:
- Be a student as determined by the University Registrar at the time of the election or appointment.
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six hours if an undergraduate student or three hours if a graduate student; must be in a degree-seeking program.
- Have at least a 2.5 Georgia State University cumulative grade point average or better at the time of election or appointment and must not be on academic probation or suspension.
- Be in good standing with the Dean of Students office and have no pending charges of violating the Student Code of Conduct and Administrative Policies.
- Conduct themselves responsibly and in a manner that does not reflect negatively on the university.
