Panther Kits Available
This year the Student Government Association (SGA) has been dedicated to providing transparency of information and making a positive impact on campus. The executive cabinet, along with the senators and freshman and transfer liaisons, have been working to better the student experience.
Along with the resources and services provided in the SGA office, such as free blue books and scantrons, the SGA created a new initiative and provided students with Panther Kits. The kits were filled with academic resources such as pens, pencils, blue books and scantrons to help students prepare for their final exams. As an added bonus, the Panther Kits contained snacks, bottled water and a QR code which students can use with their smart phones to scan and access the online finals schedule. Over the course of two days, 1,000 kits were distributed across campus to undergraduate and graduate students. The student response was overwhelmingly positive, with many students saying they found the resources both necessary and helpful during such a busy and stressful time of year.
The Student Government Association plans to distribute Panther Kits again at the end of the spring 2016 semester. If students would like free blue books and scantrons before then, they can visit the SGA office which is located in Student Center West, Suite 450 and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
